Joyce Howarth Award
The Joyce Howarth Lifetime Achievement Award was presented in previous years by the Volunteer Management Group to recognize excellence and leadership in the volunteer management profession. The award was intended to recognize visionaries who have added credibility to our profession while expanding our horizons through their leadership.
The award is named after Joyce Howarth. Joyce recognized volunteerism for its growing significance in the community and participated in the development of various professional associations. Her work pioneered the development of measurable standards of volunteer managers that are widely recognized today.
Due to a lack of interest, VMG no longer provides this award. Please contact us at info@vmgedmonton.ca if you have any questions or concerns.
